The Baptistery is a period residence in Siena, located in front of the Baptistery of San Giovanni, from which it takes its name. Opened in 2014 due to the owners' desire to pass on its long history, it offers a privileged position for those who want to visit the centre. It offers a restaurant, a bistro and a wine bar.
The property is located in Piazza San Giovanni, in the historic center of Siena. Its convenient location allows you to reach with a short walk Piazza del Duomo, the Torre del Mangia and Piazza del Campo, famous for hosting the Palio di Siena. The Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport is an hour away by car and it is possible to request a private transfer.
There are two double bedrooms and 5 suites, some doubles, others consisting of two bedrooms that can accommodate up to 4 people. All have air conditioning, heating, flat TV or iPad, free Wi-Fi connection, mini-bar and private bathroom with courtesy set, hairdryer and shower cubicle or bathtub. Some rooms offer a view of the Baptistery and one of the suites has a terrace furnished with table and chairs.
The structure has no parking, but there is an agreement with a car park in the area with car valet service (reservation is required). Alternatively, it is possible to park in some public car parks in the surrounding area, both free and paid. Being in the ZTL, it is necessary to communicate the car data to the reception to authorize the transit, which can however only take place once a day.
Pets: admitted free of charge on request.
Breakfast is served in the Bistrot in front of the residence or can be requested directly in the room. Also at the Bistrot it is possible to have aperitifs, lunches and dinners. Alternatively, it is possible to taste fish menus and local products at the "In Carrozza" restaurant, located in an alley a stone's throw from the residence. Finally, at the Enoteca, you can taste typical wines and foods in a suggestive environment.
