Hotel Dalì is a small one-star hotel in the historic center of Florence. The structure, family-run since 1999, is located in an ancient building that belonged to the Frescobaldi Marquises. The decor is simple but inspired by the Florentine tradition, with furniture dating back to the 19th century combined with paintings by contemporary artists. The hotel has a lift and an internal courtyard, where it is also possible to park for free upon reservation.
The property is located in the San Giovanni district, an area full of ancient watchmakers' shops, a 5-minute walk from Piazza Duomo. Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio are about a 10-minute walk away, while the Santa Maria Novella train station can be reached in 15 minutes. Amerigo Vespucci airport can be reached in about 30 minutes by taxi or bus (line T2).
The 9 rooms in the hotel are simply furnished and equipped with flat-screen TV, mini-bar, kettle for tea/coffee and cups, ceiling fan, Wi-Fi. Some have a private bathroom, others have a shared bathroom. Some of the lodgings overlook the silent internal courtyard, while the others offer a view of the city's cathedral.
Luggage storage and a safety deposit box are available at the reception; the staff is also available to book tours, museum tickets and excursions. In the common areas, available to all customers, there is a microwave oven and a small library. It is possible to use the free parking in the internal courtyard, subject to reservation and with limited places.
