The hotels on Viale Regina Elena in Rimini are located along one of the main tourist routes in Marina Centro, parallel to the coast and full of restaurants, shops, and services. The sea is always very close: the properties on this page are located from directly on the beach to about 130 meters from the shore. Since it is a very long road, the distance from the center varies: the northern section is close to the heart of Marina Centro, while proceeding south brings you progressively closer to Bellariva. You can reach the Parco del Mare on foot or by bike, while buses and the Metromare metro line allow easy access to the station, the center, and coastal towns.

Staying on Viale Regina Elena in Rimini
Staying on Viale Regina Elena in Rimini
Staying on Viale Regina Elena in Rimini means choosing one of the most iconic areas of Rimini's seaside resort. The street runs parallel to the coast through Marina Centro and is home to hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, and numerous tourist services. It's a very long street: the section where the hotel is located primarily affects the distance from the center, while the beach remains very close.
For the properties located directly on Viale Regina Elena, the sea is just a few meters away, up to about 130 meters, and some hotels are directly on the beach. This makes it a particularly convenient area if you want to walk to the beach during your holiday and easily return to your hotel throughout the day.
Running parallel to the beach is Parco del Mare, Rimini's new waterfront with promenades, cycle paths, green spaces, and spaces for sports and recreation. It's one of the main attractions for walking or cycling along the coast, allowing you to travel to the heart of Marina Centro or, in the opposite direction, to Bellariva and the southern resorts.
The distance from Rimini's city center varies significantly along Viale Regina Elena. In the northern section, some properties are just 100-600 meters from the center, while heading south, the distances gradually increase to about 1-1.8 km, and in the section closest to Bellariva, they can exceed 3 km. Therefore, it's helpful to check the exact location of your hotel if you plan to frequently walk to the historic center.
From the stretch closest to Marina Centro, you can also easily reach Piazzale Kennedy and Viale Vespucci and continue towards Parco Fellini, the Grand Hotel, and the port. This is the most central part of tourist Rimini, particularly lively during the summer season and full of bars, restaurants, and shops.
Viale Regina Elena is also interesting for those who want to explore historic Rimini. Reaching the center, you can start from the Arch of Augustus, a Roman gate dating back to 27 BC that marked the arrival of the Via Flaminia, and continue toward Piazza Tre Martiri, built on the site of the ancient Roman forum. Not far away you'll find the Tempio Malatestiano, one of Rimini's main Renaissance monuments, Piazza Cavour, and the Ponte di Tiberio, a large five-arched Roman bridge completed in 21 AD.
Rimini train station is approximately 1.7 km to over 3 km away, depending on your location along the avenue. However, a car isn't necessary: line 11, the local public transport bus that connects Rimini and Riccione, passes through the seaside area, serving the main coastal towns.
Moving slightly inland, you can also use the Metromare, the rapid transit system on a dedicated lane that connects Rimini and Riccione. The most convenient stops vary depending on where you are on Viale Regina Elena: for this reason, especially if you're staying in the central or southern section, it's a good idea to find the closest one before you set off.
The road is also particularly suitable for cycling. The terrain is completely flat, and once you reach the waterfront, you can follow the cycle paths of Parco del Mare. To the north, you can cycle to Piazzale Kennedy, Parco Fellini, and the port; to the south, you can continue through Bellariva, Marebello, Rivazzurra, and Miramare.
The location also allows for easy access to some of the city's most popular attractions. Fiabilandia, an amusement park especially for families with children, is located in the Rivazzurra area and is less than 4 km from the southernmost facilities on Viale Regina Elena. Towards Miramare, you can reach Rimini Terme, while in the northern part of the city, you'll find Italia in Miniatura.
For a day away from the beach, you can explore Rimini's hinterland. Santarcangelo di Romagna is one of the closest destinations, known for its village on Giove Hill and its underground caves. Continuing through the Marecchia Valley, you'll find Verucchio and San Leo, while San Marino allows you to dedicate a full day to visiting the historic center and the towers of Mount Titano.
Viale Regina Elena is therefore a particularly suitable choice if you want to be close to the sea and easily travel along the coast. The most important thing is to consider the length of the road: the northern section is closer to the heart of Marina Centro and the city center, while the southern section gradually brings you closer to Bellariva and the towns in the southern part of Rimini.
