Staying on Viale Carlo Goldoni in Riccione means being in the northern part of the city, in the Marano area, just steps from the beach and the promenade. This location is different from the center of Riccione: Viale Ceccarini is further away, but the street is surrounded by a thriving tourist area, with beach clubs, restaurants, clubs, and services within easy walking distance.
The first advantage is the proximity to the sea. From the hotels located directly on Viale Goldoni, the beach is approximately 90 to 160 meters away, so it only takes a few minutes' walk to reach the shore. The street is, in fact, a cross street of Viale Gabriele D'Annunzio, the main road that runs along this part of the Riccione coastline. Such a short distance makes it easy to return to the hotel even during the day, without having to organize transportation by car.
One of the area's unique features is its proximity to Beach Village, the water park directly overlooking the beach at Viale D'Annunzio 150. Here you'll find pools and slides, and during the season, entertainment and sports activities are offered. It's therefore an interesting destination, especially for those traveling with children who want to alternate a day at the beach with a few hours at the pool.
Heading north, you enter the Marano area, known primarily for its bars and beachfront spaces. For those who want to explore the more central Riccione, it's worth taking at least a stroll along Viale Ceccarini, Piazzale Roma, and the port. The port lies at the mouth of the Rio Melo and is a pleasant area for strolling among the bars, restaurants, and boats. From here, the city center is already close by, and you can easily continue to the main shopping streets.
Viale Goldoni is also a good base for those who want to combine the beach with other activities. Aquafan and Oltremare are located in the hilly area of Riccione and can be reached by car or public transport. Heading inland, you can explore the first hills of Romagna, starting from Coriano and continuing into the Conca Valley.
The location also allows for easy travel along the Riviera. To the north, you can reach Miramare and Rimini, while to the south, you can access the rest of Riccione and, continuing along the coast, Misano Adriatico and Cattolica. Cycling and public transportation are therefore valid alternatives to the car, even for short excursions.
Viale Carlo Goldoni is definitely an interesting area, especially for those who prioritize the sea, Beach Village, and the atmosphere of Marano. Riccione's city center isn't just around the corner, but the neighborhood has its own tourist scene, allowing you to spend much of your vacation enjoying the beach, promenade, and clubs without being tied to a car.
