DESCRIPTION

The Convento dei Fiori di Seta is a 4-star hotel in the historic center of Bologna, in a quiet, limited-traffic area near the Margherita Gardens. Located inside a former 14th-century convent specialized in silk manufacturing, it is characterized by typical period furnishings. This choice of style gives the structure a refined, welcoming and elegant design in the common spaces as well as in the private ones. It offers 10 lodgings and a small spa with Turkish bath.

LOCATION AND TRANSPORT

The hotel is located in the historic center of Bologna, a 5-minute walk from Porta Castiglione and the Giardini Margherita. With a 15-minute walk you can reach Piazza Maggiore, the Fountain of Neptune, the two towers and the Basilica of San Petronio. From the central station, the hotel is around 20 minutes away by bus (the closest stop is 3 minutes away), while G. Marconi airport can be reached by car in 25 minutes.

ROOMS

The 10 proposed accommodations maintain some of the original architectural elements, such as the ancient stone ceilings, which are combined with modern furnishings, frescoed walls and mosaic bathrooms. All accommodations have a private bathroom with shower, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, kettle, coffee machine and safe. The Classic and Deluxe rooms are equipped with a double bed and a French window, while in the Junior Suites and Suites there is also a living area and a mezzanine and it is possible to add a third bed. The Suite is also equipped with a second bathroom with Jacuzzi.

SERVICES

Guests who need a parking space can use a public car park along the street or a partner garage that can be reached in a few minutes. Inside the structure, the hall consists of a common area furnished with original elements from the ancient convent and a reception area open 24 hours a day with a left-luggage office. Wi-Fi is free in all common areas.
