Oltrarno Splendid is a boutique bed and breakfast located on the top two floors of a historic residence from the 1700s, near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. The refined furnishings of this period residence present a mix of unusual and contemporary design details, combined with authentic vintage and antique pieces. The structure has a lift and offers 14 air-conditioned rooms, furnished differently from each other and spread over two levels connected only by a spiral staircase. Wi-Fi is free and available in every area.
The B&B is located in the Santo Spirito district in Florence: the Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti are 7 minutes away on foot, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery 11 minutes, Piazza Duomo 13 minutes. You can reach the Santa Maria Novella train station with a 14-minute walk or with a 10-minute journey by car or taxi. The Amerigo Vespucci airport is 15 minutes away by car, or half an hour by taking the T2 tram line and covering a stretch of road on foot from the terminus (10 minutes).
The rooms are large and characterized by a unique and eccentric style, different for each of them: some rooms have ancient frescoes on the walls, resurfaced thanks to the Superintendence of Artistic Heritage of Florence, while others are embellished with original Toile de Jouy wallpaper. They are all equipped with internal air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite HD TV, King size bed 2x2, safe, kettle and espresso coffee machine, minibar, bathroom with shower, hairdryer and courtesy line, view of the internal courtyard or Via of Menageries. In almost all accommodations there is a freestanding bathtub.
The B&B offers the possibility to park in the area in a private garage (paid service). The reception is open every day with concierge service, luggage storage and self check-in for those arriving after opening hours. There is a vending machine available for guests.
